Generation of Synthetic Runoff Data for Small Watersheds in Lower Shivalik Region
29
Abstract
Synthetic generation of runoff data from five small shivalik watersheds was attempted with the help of Thomas Fiering model hither-to used to generate synthetic runoff data from large river basins and perennial streams. Comparison of the historic and synthetic data revealed that means and standard deviation of the two data series did not differ significantly at 5% probability level. The model could as well be applied to generate data in case of ephemeral streams from small watersheds.
