Parameters of Wind Erosion

Abstract
When Wind moves with high velocity, it is capable of causing considerable damage. A study of the nuisances of sedirnent movement and sand dune movement due to high velocity wind was undertaken in the midirestern part of Tamil Nadu. The study has clearly indicated the size distribution of sediment deposit. The deposit close to the land surface is composed of coarse particles and the rate of sedimentation varies inversely with elevation. A knowledge of the rate of movement of sand dune and the quantum of accumulation of sand in the leeward side of the dune has enabled to arrest of its further shifting.
