Training and Education in Soil and Water Conservation

Abstract
In the context of development and management of natural resources during the decades following independence, needs and facilities for training and education in soil and water conservation had been re-examined and some steps were taken. A recent review of world scenario vis-a-vis that in this country has been provided and training issues and other details like types of training, target groups/training facilities to be created and the necessity for effective utilisation of training opportunities have been discussed. Specific suggestions have been made to develop facilities, select resource persons and target groups and for providing means to make the training effective in the country.
