  • Special Issue of Journal Soil Salinity and Water Quality on Cutting-Edge Approaches for Restoring Saline Ecosystems

    Soil salinity is a major global challenge to sustainable agriculture, significantly impacting food production, ecosystem health, and livelihood security. This special issue of the Journal of Soil Salinity and Water Quality on “Cutting-Edge Approaches for Restoring Saline Ecosystems” aims to address these challenges by presenting transformative strategies and solutions from leading experts in the field. This special issue is published under the aegis of the International Salinity Conference 2025 organized by  Indian Society of Soil Salinity and Water Quality (ISSSWQ) in collaboration with Association for Coastal Agricultural Research (ACAR), Old Goa, India at ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Ela, Old Goa, Goa during 29th October-1st November 2025.

  • Special Issue of Journal Soil Salinity & Water Quality on Theme Restoring Salt–affected Ecologies in Changing Climate

    Indian Society of Soil Science, New Delhi under the aegis of International Union of Soil Sciences, Italy is organising “Global Soils Conference- 2024” on the theme of “Caring Soils Beyond Food Security: Climate Change Mitigation & Ecosystem Services”, during 19–22 November, 2024 at NASC Complex, New Delhi. The Indian Society of Soil Salinity and Water Quality (ISSSWQ), Karnal is working for the advancement of research and development in soil salinity and water quality and publishing “Journal of Soil Salinity and Water Quality”. To align its objectives with the broader aims of Global Soil Conference-2024, ISSSWQ is announcing to publish a special issue of its journal on the Theme Restoring Salt–affected Ecologies in Changing Climate under the Sub-theme 3.2Soil Management in Challenged Ecosystems” of the Global Conference of the Global Soil Conference.

    The scope of this special issue will include the detailed or comprehensive reviews, original research papers, and monographs based on the theme of the proposed special issue covering the broad research areas focused on restoration, management and reclamation of salt–affected ecologies, land use planning, poor-quality water utilization and precision irrigation and management, policy issues, and environment solution with practical nature-based engineering
