PERFORMANCE OF IN VITRO PLANTLETS FOR PRODUCTION OF MINITUBERS IN VECTOR FREE ENVIRONMENT
134 / 154
Abstract
In vitro plantlets of five potato cultivars were planted in vector free net-house to evaluate their performance for the production of minitubers. Significantly higher establishment of plantlets, canopy cover, number of minitubers/m2, minitubers yield per plantlet as well as per square meter and mean minituber weight were recorded in plantlets of cultivar Kufri Bahar, whereas significantly lower values were recorded in Kufri Pukhraj. The smallest minitubers (6.08g) were produced in Kufri Anand.Downloads
