Abstract

Kufri Arun is a medium maturing, main season, high yielding table potato variety suitable for cultivation in north Indian plains. It is a clonal selection from the cross between Kufri Lalima and MS/82-797. Its plants are tall and vigorous with field resistance to late blight. Its tubers are red, oval with shallow to medium eyes and creamy-light yellow flesh, and having good keeping quality. It is fertilizer responsive and capable of yielding 350–400 q/ha under optimum agronomical practices.
