Abstract

Ten heat tolerant potato genotypes and five commercial varieties were evaluated against hopper burn and mite damage at CPRI Campus, Modipuram during pest prone period (September to November). Genotype HT/92-621 proved most resistant against hopper burn. HT/92-731, HT/92-802 and HT/93-707 were ranked as moderately resistant against leaf hopper and mite. The other genotypes tested, proved susceptible against mite damage. All commercial varieties were susceptible against both hopper burn and mite damage to varying levels. Variety Kufri Bahar was most susceptible against both these pests.
