Abstract

A laboratory experiment Was conducted during 1990-91 to evaluate the toxicity of Beauveria bassiana , (Balg.) Vuill, on the adults of rice hispa [Dicladispa armigera (Olivier)] (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) at Jorhat The fungus, was highly pathogenic and the LCso was observed at 97.00 conidia/ml. White frosty
mycelial growth covered the entire body surface including the appendages of the adult. Electron microscopic scanning confirmed easy mycelial penetration of the hoat through elytral punctations and mycelial ramification over the body surface.
