    Greetings from the Indian Society of Extension Education (ISEE), New Delhi. With reference to the above, we are honored to announce on behalf of the ISEE that the National Seminar on Digital Technologies for Sustainable Food Systems and Atmanirbhar Bharat is organized by the Indian Society of Extension Education on 29-31 January 2026, at ICAR- CCARI, Ela Goa / Hotel Swaranam, Ela Goa.

    The seminar aims to examine the current landscape of digital technologies applied in agriculture in general and extension service delivery in particular, and also explore inclusive and scalable models for integrating digital tools for the sustainable food systems and empowerment of farmers towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

    We request your kind self to give wide publicity and circulate among faculty, scientists, and student scholars, and encourage them to apply. Kindly note that the last date for submission of abstract is 10-01-2026.

  • Announcement of ISEE National Seminar 2023

    ISEE National Seminar-2023 on 'Evolving Extension Science Towards Secondary Agriculture for sustainable Development' has been scheduled w.e.f June 22-24, 2023 at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore in collaboration with the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore,  Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, ISEE Karnataka Chapter, Directorate of Secondary Agriculture, GoK, Bangalore,  ICAR-National Institute of Secondary Agriculture, Ranchi and National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad

    Objective
    The National Seminar aims to bring the academicians and field extension professionals on a common platform to document and discuss on the research and development initiatives on secondary agriculture. It provides an opportunity to deliberate and discuss various initiatives, research results, and outcomes in secondary agriculture and suggest the way forward.
    Themes
    1. Secondary agriculture- historical footprints of modern practices and innovations
    2. Enterprise diversification for enhancing productivity and farm income
    3. Policy initiatives and institutional role
    4. Global good management practices
    5. Leveraging social media and ICT interventions
    6. Innovative Extension Science methodologies
    7. Entrepreneurship Development and Human Resource Development
    8. Gender mainstreaming.
    9. Farmer Producer Organizations, Commodity Based Organizations and other Governmental initiatives.

    THE PARTICIPANTS
    The seminar is open for scientists, teachers, extension professionals, and students to share their work and experiences. It would greatly benefit researchers, academicians, policy planners, NGOs/ extension professionals, students, entrepreneurs, progressive farmers, FPO members, and field functionaries in several ways including promoting and contributing to secondary agriculture among the farming community.
    CALL FOR PAPERS
    The papers are invited on identified themes of the seminar. Papers should be based on the original research, and field experiences focusing on any of the themes. Review/Data-based papers, case studies, and development experiences of individuals and organizations may also be accepted. Soft copy of the Abstract (about 300 words) and full paper (about 4000-5000 words, 12 font size, double spacing) typed in Times New Roman font, having a 25 mm margin from all sides in MS Word format. The papers should be sent through email to Organizing Secretary, ISEE National Seminar 2022-23, Department of Agricultural Extension, College of Agriculture, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore – 560 065, email: iseeseminar2023@gmail.com  Mob: 9611457341.

    The abstract should contain a brief account of the problem statement (100 Words), methodology (100 words), results, and implications (100 words). The Title of the abstract should preferably be less than 15 words, with authors’ names and affiliations, and the email of the corresponding author.

    THE ISEE AWARDS
    The Indian Society of Extension Education has instituted various awards, which are conferred on high-caliber extension educationists in recognition of their meritorious works & services to the disciplines of Extension Education. The applicants willing to contest may send a soft copy of their Resume along with documents as per the format of different awards by the due date of 25th May 2023. The detailed proforma, requirements, evaluation process, etc can be accessed at http://www.iseeiari.org/ The aspirants of various awards must be present physically during the ISEE National Seminar. Awards will not be presented in absentia.
