Abstract

For the present study, 126 chick embryos were collected from day 1 to 21 day of incubation and divided into three groups. Gross morphological developmental features of all the chicks were studied. On first day of incubation, primitive streak and head fold were observed. Optic vesicle, wing and limb buds were recognized from second to fourth day. Clear demarcation of toes was noticed at fifth day. From sixth to eleventh day development of auditory meatus, beak, egg tooth, feather germ follicles and scales on the legs were distinguished.
