Abstract

Anatomical study was conducted on the ovary of an Asian elephant calf. The ovary of the elephant calf was solid and ovoid. Histologically, the ovary of the elephant calf revealed distinct cortical and medullary areas. The tunica albuginea was thick measuring 74.32 µ and was formed of dense, irregular connective tissue with predominance of collagen fibres.
