Abstract

The present study was carried out to study the gross morphology of eye balls of buffaloes especially cornea and lens. The eye ball was spherical in shape, the anterior surface was convex and the posterior surface was somewhat flattened. The anterior surface of the eye ball was formed by cornea and that of the posterior surface
was formed by sclera. The junction between the cornea and the sclera is known as limbus. The optic nerve was present at the posterior surface below the horizontal plane. The different biometrical observations were also recorded and analyzed statistically.
