A study was conducted on the seminal vesicles of goat foeti from 31 days of gestation till term. The foetii were divided into four groups viz. Group I (31-60 days), Group II (61-90 days), Group III (91-120 days) and Group IV (121-till term). The lateral out pocketing of mesonephric duct was observed on 56th day of gestation surrounded by mesenchymal cells. In third month of gestation, the gland was composed of dense mesenchymal tissue and different sections of luminized ducts. In II and III groups, the ducts were lined by simple columnar epithelium and pseudo stratification was observed in group IV. Secretory end pieces were observed on 78th day onwards.Downloads
