Keywords:
Buffalo, Ductus epididymidis, Prenatal, UltrastructureAbstract
The present study was conducted on ten buffalo foetii ranging from 25 cm CVRL to 98 cm CVRL (130-295 days). The mesonephric duct was differentiated into ductus epididymidis with the formation of caput, corpus and cauda at 25 cm CVRL (130 days). All the regions of ductus epididymidis were lined by simple columnar epitheliumduring whole prenatal life in buffalo. The peritubular area of caput, corpus and cauda epididymidis contained concentrically arranged mesenchymal cells which were differentiating into peritubular smooth muscle cells at the later stage of gestation.
