Twenty birds each of commercial broiler Vencobb and backyard chicken Vanaraja were selected as experimental birds. Average body weight (BW), brain weight (Brw), brain volume (BV), right cerebral hemisphere width (RCHW) were significantly (P<0.01) higher in Vencobb as compared to Vanaraja birds. However no significant difference was found in brain length (BL), brain width (BWT), left cerebral hemisphere length (LCHL) and left cerebral hemisphere width (LCHW) between Vencobb and Vanaraja birds. Right cerebral hemisphere length (RCHL) was significantly (P<0.05) higher in Vencobb as compared to Vanaraja birds.Downloads
