Gross Biometrical Studies of Prenatal Lung in Gaddi Sheep

The present study was conducted on 18 Gaddi sheep fetus lungs. The collected fetuses were then divided into three
groups based on their estimated ages viz.- Group-I (below 50 days), Group-II (between 50-100 days), Group-III (above 100 days
of age). There was a significant increase in weight of fetus from group I to group III. The length, width, height of both right and left
lungs showed a significant increase from group I to group III. There was a significant increase in dorso-ventral, cranio-caudal
length of apical lobe, cardiac lobe and diaphragmatic lobe of both right and left lungs from group-I to group-III.
