Abstract

The vesicular glands of twelve apparently healthy prepubertal and pubertal buffalo bull revealed that the vesicular glands were paired glands situated on caudo-dorsal aspect of urinary bladder at origin of pelvic urethra and were attached to terminal part of ductus deferens both in prepubertal and pubertal bulls. The right vesicular gland appeared larger in size than left side in both prepubertal and pubertal bulls. The glands were compact, elongated, tubular and lobulated. The lobulation was more pronounced in pubertal than prepubertal bulls. Histo-morphologically the tubule-alveolar vesicular gland was composed of four layers. The vesicular
gland function was optimised from prepubertal to pubertal bull.
