Abstract

Moringa (Moringa oleifera) is widely recognized for its nutritional richness, yet most discussions remain limited to its leaves. This article presents a whole-plant perspective, examining the nutritional contributions of leaves, pods, seeds and flowers, and how processing influences their health relevance. It emphasizes that nutritional value is not static but depends on cleaning, drying, extraction and value-addition pathways that determine bioavailability and safety. Special attention is given to seed-based water clarification as a preventive health application, linking nutrition with hygiene. Moderate-depth insights into leaf extracts, seed oil and product development illustrate how processing bridges raw plant material and functional health applications. By integrating whole-plant utilization with nutrition-preserving processing strategies, the article highlights moringa’s broader role in dietary diversification and health-oriented value addition.
