307 / 285
Abstract
Thar Harsha is a new, high-yielding and drought tolerant cultivar of drumstick. Developed at Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Vejalpur, Gujarat; it was released in 2016. It is an annual type selection from popular variety PKM-1. Its pods are of attractive dark green, 100.5 cm long. The plants are densely foliaged and have broad leaves with dark green colour. It is a late- maturing type (March-May). It gives a total pod yield (20-30%) compared to commercially popular varieties under drought conditions. The plants and pods are least affected by leaf-eating caterpillar and fruit fly under field conditions.Downloads
