Dragon fruit: a potential source for nutritional security

Abstract
Dragon (pitaya), a delicious fruit, has very high nutritional value. It is considered as ‘super food’. Dragon fruit has various health benefits because it is rich in vitamins, minerals, fibre, protein and antioxidants. Dragon fruit plays a greater role to combat against several chronic diseases and keep safe our body from several chronic diseases. It boosts immune system, regulates diabetes, helps in digestion, lower cholesterol levels, improves memory, enhances metabolism, prevent cancer, heart disease, and aids in weight loss.Downloads
