Abstract

The Division of Floriculture and Landscaping, IARI, New Delhi, celebrated the year 2013 as “The Year of Rosesâ€. As a part of this, the Field Day on Roses was held on 20 February 2013 at its Research Farm. The Field Day was conducted to create awareness among the farmers and the public on rose varieties of IARI and growing techniques of rose. A Special Lecture on rose “The Science and Art of Rose Breeding†by Shri M. S. Viraraghavan and an event on Ikebana rose floral arrangements in association with Ohara school of Ikebana (Delhi chapter) were held at the Division.
