Abstract

Urbanization has direct impact on biodiversity and urban ecosystem. Enhancement of biodiversity in urban ecosystem can have a positive impact on the quality of life and education. Urban green spaces generate services that are crucial for the well-being of urban dwellers. However, preserving biodiversity should also be an important goal in the urban environment, especially in highly urbanized areas where little natural habitat remains. Management options should focus on increasing biodiversity on all aspects of the urban forest from street trees to urban parks to concrete roofs. The article highlights the elements of urban landscaping.
