Abstract
SMT. Bimla lost her mother due to lymphoma cancer in her brain and started to check the reason behind it. She followed newspapers, internet and consulted some experts. The use of chemicals and pesticides in food appeared as the main reason behind. She learnt growing vegetables and realized that use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides cause serious diseases through food chain. She then travelled to different corners of Kathmandu valley in pursuit of organically grown vegetables. She found few, but they were limited in number. An American 70 years old lady Judith, who has been living in Nepal for 20 years and running a model organic farm at Dhulikhel, 40 km away from Kathmandu, triggered in her a concept to follow her.Downloads
