Abstract
An experiment was conducted during 1991-92 to standardize the method or management of mushroom nematode (Aphelenchoides composticola Franklin). Nceemark (containing azadirachtin) 0.5 and 1.0% was found effective in the management orlhe nematode. giving significantly more yield of mushroom [Agaricus hisporus (Lange) Singer). Incorporation of dry leaf of margosa or neem (Azadirachta indica A, Juss.) @ 5% during composting proved as effective as application of phenamiphos @ 0.01%, Supplementationof phenamiphos @ 0.005% along with the margosa leaf @1 or 2% was very effective. Margosa oil and indian beech tree or karanj [Ponganiia pinnata (L) Pierre] oil @0.5 and 1% reduced the nematodes by 70-76% in the compot but did not increase the yield.
