Abstract

A new molecule, thifluzamide (Pulsor 2F) was tested during 1997-98 and 1998-99 crop seasons or wheat (Triticum aeslivum L. emend. Fiori & Paol.) at multilocations against loose smut of wheal caused) by Ustilago segetumn (Pers.) Roussel in comparison with the carboxin, carboxin + thiram and carbendazim. The efficacy of new molecule thifluzarmide
@ 1.0 ml/kg seed was found at par with the recommended dose of carboxin and carbendazitn in controlling the disease compared with the untreated check.
