Call for Papers: Special Issue on "Validated Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK) in Animal Husbandry"

The Indian Journal of Animal Sciences invites submissions for a Special Issue on “Validated Indigenous Technical Knowledge (ITK) in Animal Husbandry”, focusing on traditional livestock practices that have been scientifically tested and validated for their effectiveness and sustainability.

Scope and Objectives

We welcome high-quality original research articles, reviews, field reports, and case studies on topics including:

✅ Documentation and validation of ITKs in animal health, feeding, breeding, and shelter management

✅ Scientific evaluation and standardization of indigenous remedies and techniques

✅ Socio-economic impact and sustainability of validated ITKs

✅ Integration of ITKs into modern animal husbandry practices and extension services

✅ Farmer-led innovation, community knowledge systems, and models for knowledge dissemination

Manuscripts must follow the standard guidelines of the Indian Journal of Animal Sciences
