Abstract

Considering the nutritive values, millets offer alternate resilient crops in existing cropping systems to widen food baskets to ensure the multiple securities like food, nutrition, fodder, fibre, health, livelihood and cleaner and safer environments. Commercializations of the products have extended for other millet too. Though millet food product is known for nutrition, its awareness among consumers is scanty especially on nutritional and thera-peutic values. Thus, implementations of efficient supportive strategies and policies sensitized entrepreneurs should be on priority.
