Abstract
During flood disaster human life as well as animal life can be saved by efficient planning and cautions execution, well preparedness in advance and wiseful management during and after the flood. The losses due to flood disaster can be minimised by awareness and proper training of farmers, establishment of fodder bank at least up to block level, periodical vaccination and deworming of animals, information of flood and how to safeguard their animals should be broadcasted regularly on televisions, radio and also through newspapers, leaflets etc. Proper planning as well as coordination among NGOs, trained veterinary personnel and others who can provide emergency Veterinary services so that Veterinary aid can be reached in flood affected areas within minimum period of time.Downloads
