Abstract
The villagers were very much impressed with the solar light due to its several attributes. However, none of the villagers adopted the solar light. This shows that adoption of an innovation is a dynamic process. High cost was main problem in adoption of solar light. There should be more subsidy on the solar light to enable the villagers to adopt the solar light . Large scale adoption of the solar light will help in utilizing the vast solar energy for electricity for the betterment of the villagers life in the arid area. There will be a saving of electricity and kerosene oil. No payment of bill and maintenance cost is involved in the solar light. At the same time research should be made to reduce the cost of the solar cell.Downloads
