Abstract

Change in climate will affect livestock both directly and indirectly. Time has come to analyze the probable ill effects of climate change on livestock and production system. Demand of livestock products are increasing in a challenging environment, many of the existing managemental practices will become obsolete and adoption of newer techniques/ practices will be essential. Hence, a multidimensional approach will be required to face this challenge where livestock itself can work as a tool in both mitigation and adaptation against effects of climate change.
