116 / 58
Abstract
Dourine is often described as a slowly disappearing disease, but thepersistence of dourine suspected cases in some Asian, European and African countries are still a major challenge. The diagnosis of disease is a matter of concern and need to be addressed by the researchers on priority. There is also need of isolation of new strains of T. equiperdum from clinical cases, for comparison with existing stocks available in the laboratories working in this area.
