Glanders Disease control- Strategies and Limitations

Abstract
A fatal, infectious disease, glanders, in equines is caused by a gram negative bacteria. It occurs in three clinical forms in the infected animals, namely nasal, pulmonary and cutaneous form. An early and aggressive treatment with combinations of systemic antibiotics has been found to be curative for this disease.Downloads
