Animal Welfare in Dairy Farms present status and future prospects in India

Abstract

So for little effort has been made in India to understand dairy animal
welfare or to identify the indicators of welfare or to assess the level of
welfare. So, from Indian dairy farming perspective there is a need to
develop a practical method of assessing welfare in dairy farms and
to suggest government to implement this standard in legislation so that not only animals but consumers are also get benefitted.
