Abstract

With increasing pressure on our limited land resources our primary aim should be to produce maximum from the minimum area of land available. This can be done by utilizing the vertical space. The concept is highly suitable in the present situation because of our diminishing land resources. But we are in need of simple vertical farming structures that can cater to the needs of a household or a relatively small community. Sophisticated structures can be designed for larger communities.
