Potential Role of Traditional Crops in Uttarakhand for nutritional security

Abstract
Several literatures show that the traditional food play an importantrole in the lives of the rural population. They are source of nutrition as well as medicine. The rural population after own consumption, can sell the products to urban areas for income generation. Therefore, there is urgent need to highlight the importance of traditional food crops especially those having commercial potential along with nutritional and therapeutic importance.
