Electronic Data Acquisition System for the collection of fish catch data from reservoirs
63 / 53
Abstract
Presently, a comprehensive and reliable database on inland fishery resources and fish production of India is almost non-existent. Conventional methods of collection of fish catch data from reservoirs are not tenable, primarily because of difficulties faced by the state governments on the man-power and financial fronts. However, an effective implementation of eDAS, initially, in all the major reservoirs of India and subsequently in other reservoirs would help in building an authentic database on reservoir fish catch in India.Downloads
