Abstract

Biofuel production meets the deficit of fossil fuel sources, the
government also interested in the promotion of biofuel production by giving incentives for effective utilization of low rainfed and drought prone areas for Jatropha sp. growing. Crude glycerol production in near future is expected to be high. Purification of crude glycerol is a costlier process instead of addition in animal feeding up to 10% will decrease the concentrate usage, which will be economical for the dairy farmers and environmental friendly also. Research regarding usage of crude glycerol in large animal feeding needs to be done to fix the particular standards for the impurities for the safety point of view.
