Abstract

Water is the most precious gift of nature, essential for human and animal life, and plays an important role for plant growth. Unlike most resources, there is no substitute for water. Water resources play an important role as a catalyst for the economic development of a nation. Therefore, it is necessary to develop, conserve, utilize and economically manage this critically important resource on an integrated basis so as to meet the ever-growing demand for agriculture, industry, domestic use and power generation.
