Abstract

The fruits and vegetables are very important components of a healthy diet. If we eat them daily in ample amount, they may help us to check cardiovascular diseases and certain types of cancer. Eating a minimum of 400 g of fruits and vegetables per day is recommended by the World Health Organization to put off chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes and obesity. Thus, one should combine a variety of colours of fruits and vegetables to obtain all the benefits for better health.
