Abstract
Sarla is a newly developed hybrid by crossing Summer Sunshine and True Yellow. It gives on an average 15-17 florets per spike. It is an ideal and attractive hybrid for local markets because of shorter rachis length (45-49 cm) and floret diameter of 11.5-12.5 cm. It takes 50-70 days for floret to open having potential of producing 2.0 spikes on an average. A farmer can earn a net profit of ` 5,000 from one marla of land.Downloads
