Abstract

Availability of quality planting material has always been a limitation in
vegetatively propagated crops. In potato, conventional system of seed production is very effective, economical and sustainable. A web-based tool ‘Seed Potato Databank’ has been developed for better understanding of the supply of seed of Indian potato varieties in different states during different years. This tool also provides information on area, production and productivity of potato varieties in a particular year across hills or plains of India.
