Abstract

Keeping in view the multifaceted uses and versatility to grow in varied
agro-climatic condition vis-a-vis changing climatic scenario bael may definitely
be a future fruit for nutrition, health, and environmental security. Ex-situ
conservation of germplasm and their screening against better yield potential with high quality, bioactive compounds and tolerance to abiotic and biotic stresses will give impetus to establish it as a future fruit for coming generations.
