Abstract
It gives high return to farmers due to its high productivity, easy growing, hardy nature and high market demand. It is cultivated both commercially as well as in kitchen gardens in almost all parts of the country. Pusa Kaushal, an early, high-yielding purple long variety has been released and recommended for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Kumaon and Garwal. Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Pusa Hybrid 20, a long-fruited hybrid has been released for cultivation in Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.Downloads
