Pusa Bhindi 5: new okra vareity

Abstract
Pusa Bhindi 5 gives an average yield of 18.0 tonnes/ha in kharif season. It is resistant to Bhendi Yellow Vein Mosaic Virus (YVMV) disease of okra under field condition. Its pods areattractive, dark green in colour with 5 ridges and medium in length (10-12 cm). It is recommended for growing in both kharif as well as in spring summer season under north Indian condition. This variety was released by the IARI Variety Identification Committee during 2016.Downloads
