This paper highlights the land pooling programme in Andhra Pradesh and A.P. State compensation package
for new capital region development. The Compensation package for owner farmer included monetary compensation
and provision of residential and commercial plots who surrendered their lands to The Capital Region Development
Authority(CRDA). The package to tenants and agricultural labourers include only monetary compensation.While the
compensation along with residential and commercial plots is found to be satisfactory to the owner farmers, the
tenants and agricultural labourers found to be under-compensated, as they had only monetary compensation.
