Sandwich-ELBSA was performed to detect Fasciola gigantica in buffalo under field conditions using anti 44 kDa antibody. In seroprevalence studies, it detected the infection in 34 (43.03%) of 79 animals while 29 (36.70%) animals were positive in coprological examination. This test has been proved as highly sensitive and specific diagnostic tool for the detection of 44 kDa F: gigantica antigen in serum of the naturally infected buffalo.Downloads
