Selection indices (33) were constructed using different combinations of body weights (birth, 3, 6, 9 , 12 months), greasyfleece weights (first , sceond clip) and fleece quality traits (medullation percentage , fibre diameter). The index 1.007 W3+ (-0.925) W6 + 1.258W9 + O.020W12 + 10.002GFW 1+ 3.308 GFW2 was rated as most useful index for its high reliability (rIH =0.71) and expected aggregate genetic gain (?H = 5.51 ).The responses per generation in BW, W3, W6. W9, W12, GFWI, GFW2, FDand Med.% were expected to be 0.038kg, 0.998kg, 0.975kg, 1.593kg, 1.469kg, 0.077kg, 0.040kg, 0.161u and -1.534% respectively.Downloads
