Drinking water containing different concentrations of AI was utilized to investigate the effect of AI on performance. carcassquality and internal organs of broilers. Results obtained showed highly significant difference (p<0.001) among treatmentmeans for water intake, feed intake, body-weight and body-weight-gain. Differences among treatment means for the carcasstraits were signiticant at 5% level of probability. Mean values for performance indices and carcass traits decreased as theAI concentration increased. Internal organs examined tended to become shrunken in size and significant reduction (P<0.05) inweight was reduced for liver, gizzard, kidney. heart, and pancreas due to inadequate water intake as the AI content of waterincreased. The control water treatment was most preferred among the water treatments. It supported better performance andcarcass quality of broiler, and normal appearance of the internal organs.Downloads
