Records on 1 405 lambs pertaining to Malpura and Avikalin sheep were utilized to assess the impact of certain genetic and non-genetic factors on growth profile traits, and their relative contributions to the total variability were quantified. Results revealed that breed influenced all the body weights significantly barring birth weight. Body weights from birth to yearling age were significantly influenced(P<0.01) by lambing year, sex of lamb and dam's weight at lambing. Factors included in this study explained 19.28, 14.57, 26.54, 27.27 and 27.55% variability in birth weight, 3, 6, 9 and 12-month-body weight respectively.
