The adherence activity of Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides LC strains to tracheal cells of goat and rabbit was tested. The indirect immunoperoxidase test was used to detect adhered mycoplasmas to the tracheal cells. The adherence was to some extent of physical nature. Tracheal cells of goats revealed more adherence of mycoplasmas than of rabbit. Strains having more virulence had greater adhering tendency to tracheal cells and this adherence to a greater extent could be prevented by specific antiserum.
